I heart bloggers!

I love blogging and I love making connections with new bloggers. From the beginning, the friendships and the community is what I liked. Over time I have made some great friends while blogging and I've come across some amazingly talented and strong individuals.

Blogging isn't always easy. It takes time, patience and creativity! I often lack all three of the pre requisites. But I keep going. Most people I have connected with are lifestyle bloggers, this can be tricky sometimes because sharing your life means sharing the ups and downs. I'm not great at this but through writing I find it easier. Putting yourself, your feelings and your life out there is brave.

We open ourselves to judgement and comments. I have always found others to be extremely supportive which is great. We all encourage one another to get through the tough times and congratulate each other on the good times.

Today, going with my love theme, I am sharing a handful of bloggers I love!

Myself and Rebecca have been blog buddies for years now. We text, Skype, type and send cards to one another. We bitch about life, boys and work. We generally speak on a daily basis but with my issues lately I have been having a few bad days so we had less contact. To show our link, I text her at the exact same moment she emailed me. She blogs about her life in LA, family and friends in Germany and has a fabulous fashion sense! I love Rebecca for her support at my worst time. Go check her out:

What can I say about Kym? If you're on my blog, chances are you have come across Kym. She is a fabulous woman who is strong, caring and loyal. I stumbled across her blog due to the hockey link (I think her husband is a hockey player - is that right Kym?! haha). But there is so much more to this woman. Kym is one of THE most honest bloggers you will find. From blog stealer's, to her wedding, to the pains life brings, to the constant moving - she gives it all. Oh, and she also shares pictures of her beautiful Brutus (her dog friend!).Kym is another who has supported me through the tough times.... and online stalker! Kym- you are amazing girl! Keep going and stay strong!

Sarah at Venus Trapped in Mars
Sarah is hilarious. I could leave it at that but I won't. It may sound like I am selling her short (I'm not - seriously, read her blog and you will figure that out). Sarah is another girl, who like me, loves sports but also loves being that bit girly! You want to know about Football? Go to her, funny and factual. Sarah is also on the healthy bandwagon with me. I like have a little Twitter conversation with Miss Sarah too - witty witty!

Hockey Wife is back and I for one am pleased! Hockey Wife was one of my very first followers and very first blogs on my reading list. After a hiatus she's back and I love it. She is hilarious and just has a sweet family. She's also a busy Momma and boy does she work hard which is just as amazing to read about. Settling in Germany for her husband's career the last two seasons has not been the easiest but shes handled it all in her stride. So now, she's back- check out her blog for posts about her life and pictures of her adorable little ones!

Becky is amazing, she is someone who also is going through a tough time like myself but pulls herself up and keeps going. Becky always supports me and I am so excited to follow her 'being brave' journey right now. She is a fighter and if there's anything which impresses me, it is someone who fights. Becky is witty and intelligent and you will find posts about her thoughts and feelings. I love that she puts her opinion out there and it is what it is. Hop on over and see her fabulous posts!

Blog Besties - Cyber Love

Today I have had a last minute switch up of posts due to the amazing blog post from Rebecca over at Forever after Undecided : Cyber Love for Grown-Ups

Forever After Undecided

We have been blog besties for years now and I received a message telling me to check out her blog today (not that I wouldn't of course). I have to admit that I actually teared up reading it. I nodded along with every word and sentiment and ever teared up! Between us we have definitely been through a lot of difficult times and she has been there to help me. Even more so than some of my friends who are where I live. I know I can trust her to understand my 'down days' and help me see the positive in times when I can't see it myself.

Head on over to her blog and show my blog bestie some love today! Perhaps you could share stories of your own blog friendships?

Thank you for the kind words Miss Rebecca!

Venture into the unknown!

Today I have been super busy on le blog! I have finally took the plunge and booked my first advertisement spot. It was pretty much a no brainer as to which site I would choose. Obviously Kym, over at Travel Babbles, would be my first port of call. I have followed Kym from the beginning of my blog days. Not only do I love her writing style but she is also one strong woman - read her blog and I am sure you will agree! So it seemed fitting that I should head that way or my advert.I also entered my first giveaway - I am not too sure what I did but I think it worked?

Give Kym a visit and check out her blog - Kym at Travel Babbles

Also, I now have buttons (sidebar) to link to my Pinterest, Twitter, Goggle + and Instagram so give them a look. I would love to see some of you guys on there too!

Today I have also linked up with the Weekend Blog Block Party.

It lets you link up many different social media outlets. Head over and have a mingle!

After such a busy morning I think I will head back to a slightly more tasking task, setting up my new phone. I have never felt more out of touch with technology than I do with this new Galaxy Samsung S4 - Rebecca over at Forever after Undecided can vouch for my total confusion as she bared the brunt of my confusion last night! Thanks blog bestie! Today begins the transfer of contacts and all other information. It is such a pretty phone so I can't wait to get it all set up!

What are you up to this Saturday?

Wait...where am I?

I am in an unfamiliar place, I am back at my laptop looking at 'Blogger'. That's right, I am taking the plunge back into blogging. It has been far too long and I am finally ready and able to get back into the world of blogs. In previous blog breaks I have checked in once in a while to see what has been going on but this time, I hadn't even logged into my account for a couple months it seems.

There has been a lot going on and I will eventually get round to sharing but I am just looking forward to getting back into my writing and enjoying catching up with fellow bloggers around the world.

I am beginning to find that interest in daily life once again and I am looking forward to sharing with you all again.

My blog...

It's Sunday Social time with Neely and Ashley . Today is all about your own blog.

1. What is the name of your blog? How long have you been blogging?
My blog is - If it's not ok, then it's not the end. I have now been blogging for just over 2 years.

2. Why do you blog?
I love to write and through blogging I have areason to write and gather my thoughts. If I can inspire and help others then that's even better!

3. What is the first blog you ever followed?
I think one of the first blogs I ever followed was Kym over at Travel Babbles and still to this day I love her posts!

4. What is your favorite post you wrote in 2012?
One of my favourite was, 'So I began to write..' This is when I started to think about the year and how much I needed to start changing things. I also managed to get out of a blogging rut with this one.

5. What are your blogging goals for 2013?
To keep sharing with you all. As of now, the year has seemed to have set off at a pace so much faster than I anticipated so I have found time difficult to find. Once I settle I will be back into my blogging routine. I am hoping to write in more areas apart from just my blog.

6. Top 3 favorite blogs to follow?

I love this blog and in 'real life' she is one of my best friends too. We met through blogging and ever since we've been the best of friends.

Her blog is so inspirational and makes me wish I was fitter!
I like to hear Kym's honesty as she travels through life and to new places!

Happy Sunday! Have you been up to anything nice today?

Change of place...

Contrary to what the title suggests, I am not moving but for today my blog post has! I have found the past couple of weeks to be really difficult to focus thoughts... inevitably my mind wanders to various moments over the past few months and time spent with my brother.

A good friend and blogger, Rebecca, asked me to guest blog for her so I accepted and hopefully this will help ease me back into the world of writing for pleasure.

Please head over to her blog to read my thoughts on friendships and share your own friendship thoughts.

Real people...

Blogging is something which I love to do. It allows me to write and hopefully entertain/help/engage other people. I write for me first and foremost and then hope others appreciate the words I have put together. I fully appreciate fellow bloggers and the world they create in their little web space.

Throughout my short time, compared to some, in blog world I have found a few great friends. Some I chat to daily, another I have regular contact with regarding our life and happenings, one I swap sweets with and others I follow and read their blogs daily - whether I have time to comment or not I always read.

The past weekend however, I was lucky to meet a fellow blogger. Mrs OK blogs over at OK in UK and is not too far from my real life destination. She is heading back to USA in the next week and I received a message asking I wanted to meet for a drink before we lost our chance. I, of course, jumped at the chance and I know anyone who has read her blog would do exactly the same!

For me it was more than just a 'meet-up'. Given what is going on in my life at the moment, Miss OK invited me out with some friends to help me feel normal I guess for a night. I have to say, it was just what I needed. It was lovely to be around a new group of people who were all so fun and welcoming. Miss OK were lots of fun even though she was suffering from cold. I hope to stay in contact with the girls near me and of course add Mrs OK to my Christmas list!

What I am trying to say I think, is that us bloggers are real, we exist in our web home but also in the 'real' world. Having the opportunity to form such good friendships is something which non-bloggers are missing out on in my opinion. Having others there to support in person or in message form is keeping me going at the moment.
