First off - Happy Sunday! I hope you like my new blog design changes! I am so happy to see things having a change around.

Again, this week has been a bit slow with the whole healthy eating again. I have adjusted well to new medication which is a positive. After a couple of 'off' days I have picked up again, which is great too! So, how has my week been?
* I am still eating salads for lunch but I have found some days I can't finish much and I don't eat much more. I can tell I am back at work. * I have done well with exercise, I managed three pole sessions this week. I even got a new move I have been working on for some time as well! * I have ate at my parent's a few nights this week which was nice. I ate healthy with chicken, pork and vegetables over the few nights. * I have been let down with my snacking unfortunately. I have been into chocolate after work alot. Oops. So that is something I need to cut back on next week. *I had some alcohol at the weekend so I had coke and sprite! Fizzy drinks!! It has been a long time but it was a nice treat. *Other than that I have stuck with camomile the majority of the week with a daily green tea.
So next week I want to work on my snacking and I hope to cut it down a little more. I am increasing work to 4 days next week so I am sure tiredness will be a factor to overcome. Time will tell. I can say I am finding my stomach becoming less bloated which is fantastic!

I am going to start by saying that I did not have the best 'healthy eating' week. It's been a a bit of a topsy turvy week so to say. Not the easiest and I think that didn't help me at all. So let's get to it, here's how my week went. My Week * I finished my 'weaning off' phase of one set of meds and began a new set. The weaning of phase had me losing my appetite which did not help me want to eat anything, let alone eat healthy. * I have ate my salads for lunch and kept up with the fruit which is one good thing. * I also got back to proper Pole workout this week and did two, hour workouts. This made me feel bruised but great. * I have had no problems sticking to my green tea and chamomile tea drinking throughout the week. This kept my blood sugar levels more calm thanks to not drinking fizzy drinks. To be honest, I rarely even crave a can of Pepsi these days. * I still have chocolate everyday, this is something I am not trying to change. * Thursday night I was rather naughty and stopped by McDonalds after workout session - terrible, I know! But it was so good! * Then Saturday, I had a rather nice afternoon drinking session of cocktails! It has been a while since I have drank so much alcohol and of course fizzy drinks. I then ended the evening with a Domino pizza order with my BFF. So Saturday was totally a cheat day. I had fun and enjoyed myself so I really don't feel bad at all.

Another week has passed and I am happy to say that I am still on the healthy eating train... maybe had a couple of stop offs this week but in general it's going alright. Salad prep was a saviour, once again and I have tried to keep the eating healthy of an evening.
My Week
* I continued to eat porridge for breakfast which I think has kept my sugar level more stable and I haven't felt the need to have chocolate during morning breaks. * Caffeine be gone! Yep, I have been doing pretty well on the no caffeine route. Cutting out tea, all sugary drinks has been a lot easier than I thought. * Salad for lunch is also filling me up, I am less likely to have a mid afternoon slump now. This is great as some afternoons with the kids I would fell like I was going to fall asleep.
* Lack of snacking has been ok - this is where I have fallen down this week. Monday I had a bad day and craved chocolate as soon as I walked through my front door. As I became a bit more stable again this lessened as the week went on. * I didn't have to big a tea both Wednesday and Thursday due to lack of appetite but instead of having snacks I had a chicken sandwich both evenings on granary bread. So not too bad. * I still had my cheat of Pizza and daily chocolate fixes (some days more chocolate than needed).
* I don't have any scales in my home, so I can't be certain but I do feel as though I have maybe dropped a couple pounds. I think this is more to do with less starchy foods and stabilising of my sugar levels.
So that sums up my week. As you know, I am not one for doing things by half. At the same time as working on my healthy eating I am between tablets. So I am currently coming off 4 days alternate does (reduced to 50mg) and on second day of no tablets, I have another two days then I begin my new ones. So far things are ok but I am preparing myself to become worse when starting new ones. Normally my appetite drops and I've noticed this slowly the past week but I will take that as it comes.
Today I am linking up with Whitney at 'I Wore Yoga Pants To Work'. It's a post all about me ... Do we have anything in common?
Fact 1
The older I get, the higher the standards I gain. This is true from work, to home etc. I would never say they were particularly low but I definitely aim very high now. Sometimes to my own detriment. Fact 2 I love quotes. Simple as that. When I was at University it was the days of MSN Messenger and I constantly had lyrics as my status. This made me known as 'The Lyrics Queen'. Quotes make me me think and ponder life. I can easily lose myself for hours reading them. Fact 3 Music is a passion - I can't play an instrument but that's irrelevant. I always listen to music. In fact, I think I listen to more music than I watch TV most weeks. My favourite is discovering a new artist and being obsessed with them. I still remember the day The Killers 'Hot Fuss' came out, I played that record on repeat for months. As of late The Lumineers have kept me entertained.
"I'm like the Dead Sea... you told me I was like the Dead Sea, you'd never sink when you are with me..."
Fact 4 I am fiercely protective of my family and friends. When I make friends with someone they have me forever. Unless they hurt me or treat me unfairly they will always have me on their side. I will do anything for them. Fact 5 I over flow with empathy. I feel like I physically hurt when friends and family around me do. I have been told, and would agree, that I am very perceptive. This has its positives but it also means I feel everything.
Fact 6 I love to travel. I went from being a homebody to an independent traveller. It started a couple years back when I met a guy and was inspired to see me and be more independent. From short trips with Miss Faux Fur to NYC where I would wander, to travelling America and Canada and then last Summer visiting Australia, I have itchy feet. Due to my job I am limited to the times I can travel but I make the most of it. It gives me freedom and allows me to meet new people. Fact 7 Clothes and shoes are a weakness of mine. I don't crave ridiculously expensive clothes and shoes, I just crave any! I love picking up a bargain here and there and pairing it with older outfits to feel new. Dresses are my down fall and I will always fall for pretty dresses and classic LBDs. One is not enough for me. Fact 8 I love my job. I am a teacher and I make a difference. The children listen and learn well. I see them grow into mature young adults and they spend as much time with me as their parents sometimes. I am like a surrogate mother to all 29 in my class at the moment. In school I am known as 'the nurturer' due to my calm manner. Fact 9 I have zero common sense and this is the source of great amusement for others on many occasions. My mind is scatty and therefore quite often I say things without thinking and mind wander all over the place. But sometimes it's nice to be in my own little world and not be right on it. It keeps me entertained. Fact 10 When I feel panic while driving I turn my music down. I can't concentrate and find it off putting. So if I'm lost? Volume down! I am also on Twitter if you want to follow and get to know me even better!
What fact would you share? Do we have anything in common?
