Is it wrong to spend a day doing nothing?

Today has been one of those days where I planned to do lots of things...but didn't. I had lunch as my breakfast, began to tidy at 3 and by 3.20pm I was laid on the floor watching TV. Yes, I was indeed THAT lazy.

As I lay, I started to feel guilt and panic over the fact that I was doing absolutely nothing. I was wasting my day, but I just didn't want to get up. Then I remembered:

I was relaxed and happy. Why should I always have to rush around and be busy? Why can't I just stop and not do anything without feeling so guilty. I often feel that society today makes you believe you should always be moving and doing something and that if you're not, something is wrong. 

Slowing down is something I have always found difficult. I am known for always being busy and moving about. But today I decided to listen to my body and not my mind. I rested and enjoyed my afternoon. I had a marathon viewing session of The Office: An American Workplace. Later in the evening I felt like doing some cleaning so I had a late, but enjoyable cleaning session. So it all worked out well in the end and I was happy.

Do you ever feel guilty when you aren't busy? How do you cope with that?

Lazy Sunday Post...

It seems to have been a while since I posted on a Sunday. Today is one of my lazy days. I was up earlyish and have already made a visit to Sainsburys which was a lot busy than I thought it would be Sunday morning!! But now I am home and ready to have a day in. I've decided to have a bit of a random post for that reason as I do not really feel like concentrating too much.

Lazy Sunday Post...

Ahh Sunday...the slow day! It's also comment love day on For The Love of Blogs. My favourite bog hop day!!

First of all, I thought I should say 'Hey' to Miss Faux Fur!!! I let my real life BFF (Yes I know I sound like I'm in the early noughties but I'm just cool like that) into my secret of blogging. She was very excited and I may even allow her to guest blog for me?! You will all be very lucky if I do as she's pretty awesome!

As it's Sunday, its time for a lazy post:

Sunday...

Another Sunday is here... this year is just flying by!!! I thought I would let you all get to know me a bit better today! Last week I had random items in my bag etc but today I will share random things about me...

* I can waste hours just browsing the Internet when I should be doing work.

* I love The Notebook and would love a notebook kind of love!

* I sometimes like to just have a night all by myself with my favourite chocolate, drink and a good film. Me anti-social? Nooooo!!! Well, sometime...

* I am obsessed with fashion; shoes, bags, dresses, tops, jeans...yes please!

* I use the sentence, "I'm fine..." far too much when I'm not.

* I'm petite and like being enveloped in a hug. I feel protected and safe (even though I claim I'm fine and ok haha!)!

* I use waaayyy too many ! in my writing. I don't know why, I just do!

*I hate waiting for people who are late but have no concept of time myself.

* I love going on a holiday where I can be so lazy and just lie in the sun all day and feel warm and cosy.

There's a lot more to know but just thought I'd share some random facts since it's Sunday and my brain isn't in gear to do a whole written post!

Sundays...

I love Sundays. As much as I shouldn't as it's the day before work starts again, I can't help but look upon it with fondness. I love to have my lie in, late breakfast and a laze around. Generally, it's a day of work for me as I have my Saturday off. Today I am catching up on marking, resources etc. While doing all that 'fun' stuff I have on in the background, one of my favourite trashy shows: Jerseylicious. 

If you haven't seen this show then you are missing out. It's based in Jersey in NYC and follows the 'life' of those who work in the salon. It's like Jersey Shore without all the sex and alcohol. Just subsitute the boardwalk for a salon. It's a guilty pleasure of mine but is definitly a great backdrop for my lazy Sunday afternoons :-)
