What's on your mind...

It's Wednesday which for me means it's half way (well a little more if I'm counting properly) to the end of my working week. I love school but I'm tired at the moment as it's assessment and end of term paperwork. Plus I've only managed to have a lunch break like 3 times in the past two weeks at school. I don't think that is helping me to be all smiles and butterflies but I do try between the hours of 9 and 3.30!

Today I wanted to join in with something from A Taste of T. It's something which I enjoy reading and since my mind is feeling frazzled and full I thought it would be a perfect post.

Here is what's on my mind:

- When is it bed time?
- Why is a cherry picker called a cherry picker if they look at roofs? (We had one inspecting school and I was as clueless as the kids as I didn't think we had any cherry trees around school)
- My make up must be good as I got told I didn't look tired.
- I wonder if I should think more before I speak instead of coming out with things such as: "You know, I thought it was just one of those sounds which only I can hear in my head and not others." I would explain the context but it wouldn't help make me sound any less insane.
- What happens if when it's dark I stand on a spider with bare feet?
- Taxonomy makes me think of taxidermy (It didn't anyone else.)
- What should I have for tea?
- I would like to buy some new shoes...wedges to be exact.
- Why do I keep listening to the same song in the car?
- And singing along every time.
- Why did I wear my cute crimson wool tights to school when the temperature was so hot?
- Why is it dull when I choose my outfit for work?
- I would like to have a Barcardi Razz and lemonade.... mmmm.
- I don't get how bubbles work.
- Hmm...

A little jumbled and lots of questions. Any jumbled thoughts from you today?

The little things which annoy me...

Today hasn't been too bad but it has been filled with little niggly things which have just drove me to frustration! I don't know about you but I have things which can just really annoy me for no reasons- more like pet peeves really.

Today I thought I'd share with you some of mine:

- People leaving doors open in rooms. Why? It makes the room cold and you don't know when someone is coming in because you can't hear the door open.

- Only having seats which mean my back is towards the door (another door one I know). Again, I can't see someone coming in and I don't like it.

- Cars parking wonky. It makes everything 10x harder for us other drivers.

- People who say they will do something then at the last minute change their mind...grrr!!

- People being late. I shouldn't complain as I am not punctual but I like to think it's because if I turn up late then I wont have had to wait an not because I have no sense of time.

- When you talk to people and they text all the time.

- Getting my shoes dirty/scratched- I am a shoe addict and am well known with my friends to complain all night if they get a little scratch.

- When people change the spelling of my name - obviously Missy is a blog name. I have a slightly different way of spelling my name (an i instead of an e near the end if you must know) and people will automatically think I'VE spelt it wrong and 'correct' it for me.

I know it's a bit of a rant but it seemed to suit my mood today.

This came up when I looked for an open door....I wouldn't mind having them open if I thought he'd wander in. It would keep my class amused for a good half hour!

Any pet peeves of yours or maybe you have the same ones as me? I am sure there are lots more so feel free to have a rant here!

Laugh. Out. Loud...

I was just browsing some blogs when I came across something which actually did make me laugh out loud.

Now maybe your humour wont be the same as mine but I just found this picture so funny but at the same time felt sorry for the Dinosaurs! Poor things!! Also, there is something midly amusing about the Elephants just looking confused.

Hope you find it as amusing as I did!

We've all been there... having the ship sail without us!

If you want to visit, this is the blog where I stumbled across this cartoon!

A special day...

Today was Mothers Day in the UK and to celebrate myself and Miss Twin took the parents out for Sunday dinner. It was such a nice meal and the place was great. It was about 25 minutes away but you felt like you were in another place completely. The surrounding area was all green, with fields and trees. It was one of those places where you just instantly feel relaxed and happy.

The surrounding area...

Walkway to pub...how pretty!

Today was the first time I have ever had the want to live in a little village when I'm older with kids etc etc. I'm normally like, "Ooo I want to live near a city for the hustle and bustle." Maybe Im just tired of rush at the moment I don't know, or maybe I should take up walking when I'm older then I can go to the places but still live near a city? Hmm that seems unlikely. Wanders yes, walking/hiking no!

Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday!!
