Today was Mothers Day in the UK and to celebrate myself and Miss Twin took the parents out for Sunday dinner. It was such a nice meal and the place was great. It was about 25 minutes away but you felt like you were in another place completely. The surrounding area was all green, with fields and trees. It was one of those places where you just instantly feel relaxed and happy.

Walkway to pub...how pretty! |
Today was the first time I have ever had the want to live in a little village when I'm older with kids etc etc. I'm normally like, "Ooo I want to live near a city for the hustle and bustle." Maybe Im just tired of rush at the moment I don't know, or maybe I should take up walking when I'm older then I can go to the places but still live near a city? Hmm that seems unlikely. Wanders yes, walking/hiking no!
Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday!!

Well, heck! Why for did you not come by the nut house to get pressies for Mum? We were open today!
Are you really near that place then? It's lovely food if you've never been!
I'm with you on living in a cozy, little village!
Glad you enjoyed a wonderful day!
Patty
I love small towns too!
Missy, Missy, I think you are growing up and getting older - LOL - no but seriously, I believe the older we get, the more we appreciate the places of peace, quiet and order, such as more country or scenic places - less party, more comfort. One day or another, I will own a house in the green somewhere, and my children will grow up without a playstation (naturally that is only wishful thinking!). I am glad you guys had such a lovely day!
I hope your mom had a great day!
As much as I love big cities, my dream is to one day buy a small boat and sail the world until I find a small island where I can settle down.
It's a dream worth working for.
@ Reb- I would love to see you try and bring up kids without a playstation these days!! Honestly, it's all my kids talk about. I'm like, don't you ever go outside and actualy play?
@El Grande- You're just saying that because you know Sir Reginald Quatermain has yachts and you want to stay on his good side haha!!
It's a nice dream :-) I would love to live by a beach. I like wandering along them, they're just nice and peaceful.
I lived in Puerto Rico for three years and it was amazing and I love sailing and boating, who do you think taught Sir Reginald how to do it?
Wow!! That must've been fab!!Now you're in Mexico- you move around a lot!
I can imagine you rescued Sir Reginald from a life of normality by showing him the ropes to boating so to speak.
I forget the exact count, but I think I've lived in over twelve houses. It's nothing compared to my dad though, He's lived in over 70 houses.
Don't tell anyone, but I think he might be a secret agent (he's not).
Well, he was just a bored billionaire peacock before I came along. It's a prince and pauper sort of story, really.
Woah!!!! That's crazy?! I can't even begin to imagine living in like 4 or 5 house let along 12 and over 70!!! Bet you're good at packing.
Hmm a secret agent wouldn't surprise me with that house movement.
He was lucky you came along. What would he have done except spend his days spending his billions?! You gave him something to aim towards.
My dad left his family when he was twelve to study and travel throughout Mexico and the US. He's moved from house to house since then. He has some really amazing stories (and is probably the source of all my recklessness). He is really smart, but a secret agent? Probably not.
The longest I've lived in one place is three and a half years. I thought I was going to be forced to stay four years in college, but I eventually found a way to bypass that. Unfortunately I am not all that good at packing.
Believe me, Sir Reginald owes me.
That's so impressive.I can't believe he was 12 when he went studying and travelling. I bet he learnt some life lessons. I can imagine stories would be pretty fun to listen too. There's nothing better than hearing your parents talk about their own recklessness hahah!! What does he do now?
You really don't like to stay in one place for long in your family. 3 1/2 years, not long at all. I can't even imagine what adventure you're going to do once you've finished up with the Luchador training. Actually, I remember in your VLOG that you still had cases out- I should've realised you weren't great at the whole packing thing.
He doesn't admit to being reckless, but I know he was. When he was young he once ended up being paralyzed for three months (I'm sure that didn't happen from not doing something bad)... wait, maybe he is a spy?
Anyways, he's had all sorts of jobs. Growing up he really wanted to be a musician. He sings and plays the guitar very well, but eventually he decided that his talents would be best spent helping people and he became a doctor.
It's not that we don't like to stay in one place, it's just that we move a lot because he likes helping out impoverished communities. Although, I think he's getting too old for it, because he hasn't moved in the past six years and looks like he's getting ready to retire soon.
How very observant of you! Why put my suitcases away, when the next adventure is just around the corner. I have already secured some funding for my next project, but no need to share the details on that yet.
Ahh that's why he'd have been so worried about your poorly knee and wanting scans and not shamans/alcoholic doctors. It so obviously happend from something reckless lol!! See my Dad just drops stories in and I'm like, see... "I'm not that bad so you can't complain!" He was a bit fof a rebel when he was younger haha!
He's doing a pretty hard job and you must be proud of him helping so many people. It's also helped you see lots of places too obviously! I bet he will get so bored when he retires!
Oooo I will look forward to as and when you share the next adventure!
Yeah, that's why he wanted me to get a scan. Specially since I wasn't all that better since the last time I got one. If he found out that I even consider going to see a shaman he would disown me, he is totally skeptical about any of those things.
He works two jobs, so I think he's getting a little tired, even though he won't admit to it (wait?, now that I think of it, one of his jobs is on a military base... I am seriously reconsidering the fact that my father may be a spy).
Your dad sounds like a cool guy too. You probably inherited your fun loving spirit from him. My mom was the rebel in our family (sort of).
I have this rule about not sharing future projects until they become certain. Most of my friends didn't know I was leaving for Mexico until after I was here, but you'll be one of the first to know when it become a certainty.
Oh dear!! You better get it sorted then before there's lasting damage. I'm just waiting on the results of mine so fingers corssed whatever it is can be fixed with some physio- and not a shaman.
Oooooo you are totally on the verge of discovering a family secret here!! I bet he is!
I love how your Mam is the rebel haha! Evryone always goes to the Dad but I reckon some girls can give the guys a run for their money.
Well I shall wait patiently. As long as it's not something which could wreck your leg even more then I'm sure it will be great!
She wasn't that much of a rebel, compared to the stuff I've done my mom is a saint really. She just thinks that she was a rebel.
Hmmm so you have lots of stories to tell then...I can only but imagine! I know you're a bit of a risk taker (in a good way)!
